David Mejias Has Helped The Long Islanders With His Legal Expertise

 David Mejias has always been engaged in providing legal help and support to his people in Long Island. Although the journey was long, he has been able to successfully assist the needy with his legal expertise. He has worked as an attorney specializing in divorce, family law, personal injury, child support and maintenance, child custody, prenuptial and overturning post nuptial agreements and many more. He has won countless awards and achievements for his service to the people of Long Island.

David has served as the President of Long Island Hispanic Bar Association. At present, he is the Chairman at the Long Island Hispanic Bar Foundation. He is also a Managing Partner in his firm called Mejias, Milgrim & Alvarado. Here, he has been providing legal assistance for more than 18 years. Owing to his caliber as an attorney, he was also elected as the first Latino Nassau County Legislator in 2003. There, he served his tenure with absolute diligence and devotion for 6 years.

His continuing efforts for fighting for their rights was duly noticed and recognized by the Coalition Against Domestic Violence. He has sponsored and written the legislation for Megan’s Notification Law in New York State as well as past the Natalie’s Law. One of the toughest law that is the Megan's Notification Law restricts sex offenders and also monitors their computers all round the clock. Natalie’s Law, on the other hand, increases public awareness by showing the latest heroin arrests in the locality. Dave Mejias wishes to implement more laws that could help the citizens of Long Island.
